It appears that the
Messiah of Christendom is presented as a rather weak man. If one listens to a
Christian, this Jesus does not seem to have any gumption whatsoever. This
picture does not measure up with the Messiah of Elohim” (‘G-d’) as described in the Word of Elohim. Sadly, many in
Christendom have no desire to search for, and follow the real Messiah, for this
will mean, having to live according his (one who is from the House
Judah, a Hebrew) teaching and
commandments!
Every Sunday Christians go to
Church to worship “Jesus Christ,” but who is he? Is
“Jesus” a Hebrew name? Has there ever been a single Hebrew (Jewish)
with the name of “Jesus” in Ha Davar Elohim (the Word of ‘G-d’).
In 1999, one of our brothers was
clearly told, during a luncheon hosted by a noted Baptist pastor in Sydney (a
man with many titles and degrees) that “Jesus was a Christian, NOT
a Jew!”
Well, dear Pastor may I suggest
the following …
A … our Messiah was born a
B ... Messiah was of the
“Tribe of Judah, of the stem of Jesse.” Surprise
!!!
Messiah was a Hebrew. All this
just proves that men with many degrees often have their minds filled with the
psychology, knowledge, and the garbage of the world (the flesh), simply cannot
see the blessed truth of the Word of Elohim, yet they are the teachers of
your faith!
In relation to the question,
“is Jesus a Hebrew name,” the answer is an absolute NO, for it is
NOT found anywhere in the Word of Elohim! However, the Messiah accepted by the
faithful of
In translations of “The
Books of Messiah” - (‘Brit Chadashah,’
generally called the ‘New Testament’) we note that Ha Mashiach (the Messiah) is named “Jesus,” which we are told is a direct translation
from the Greek “Iesous.” Most of us will
know that “Jesus” is supposed to mean, “Yah will save.”
Now, if we check the Messiah’s actual Hebrew name, which is “Yahoshua,” we
can see that his name means just that in the Hebrew. “Yah” stands
for the four letter (tetragrammaton) Name of Elohim, which is “YHVH” - “YaHVaH.”
“Shua” means “Salvation,” or
“Save.”
The word “Save” in
Greek is “Soter,” and “Salvare” in Latin.
“Therefore Elohim exalted
him (the Messiah)
to the highest place, and gave him the name
that is above every name - that at the name of YahoShua every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that
YahoShua the Messiah is Lord, to the glory of Elohim the Father.”
Philippians 2:9-11.
Before we go on, we also need to
ask, why have the translators changed a name anyway? Whenever I travel the
world, I am introduced as “Reuben” in every country, and it is not
changed or altered in any way what so ever! Without doubt, words from the
Hebrew, or Greek need to be translated, in order for us to understand their
meaning, however, names should, no must remain in the original (or as close as
possible), no matter the language! Has anyone changed my name to
“Ben” “Robert,” or
“Bob” for the sake of making it sound English? Certainly not, it
would be an offence to do so. Let’s face it,
whilst “Gorbachov,” was the premier of
There must have been a reason!
Encyclopaedias agree that the
name of the Messiah is the same name as another great man in the Word of
Elohim. This is that faithful servant who took over the reigns from Moshe (Moses) - yes, it is “Joshua.”
You will note that in Acts chapter 7, and in Hebrews
chapter 4 that both the names of
“Messiah” and “Joshua” are written in the Greek
as “IESOUS.” In the Greek
Septuagint (translated 300 years before Messiah), Joshua is also
written as IESOUS. However, look in any translated version of the Word of
Elohim, you will find that both Messiah, and he who led
Translators left the name of “Joshua,” as close as possible to his
original Hebrew name, which is “YahoShua.”
This proves that they knew the actual name, whereas the wonderful “Son of
Elohim” received another name, being a foreign and a pagan name. This new
name was in no way associated, or related to the name given to Messiah by his
heavenly Father!
“Brother, did I hear you
say that Jesus is a pagan name?” Yes you
did! Let me explain …
“IESOUS” somehow has
become Jesus, Jesu, Jezus etc – “Ie” has the
sound “yeh,”
which is related to a Greek “Hail,”
and “sous”
or “sus”
actually means “Zeus.” The same
applies to names of Greek cities such as, “
According to the
“Dictionary of Christian Lore and Legend” by J. C. J. Melford, page 126 it states …
“It is known that the Greek
name endings with sus, seus,
and sous (which are phonetic pronunciations for Zeus)
were attached by the Greeks to names and geographical areas as means to give honour
to their supreme deity, Zeus. Examples are “Parnassus, a sacred mountain
in
The sad fact is,
“Jesus” has no meaning whatsoever related to his Hebrew name. In
this we clearly see, that the priesthood and followers of the
Pagans, like emperor
Constantine, who imposed pagan customs, pagan days of worship, and pagan feasts
into a new faith called “Christianity.” Constantine
who hated the Hebrews, and the Messianic followers of the true Messiah
YahoShua, spoke out against those who upheld the truth, and called them “Judaizers.” This word was coined by him, for it is
not found in original the Word of Elohim. Today, most translations use this
derogatory term, which was invented by
The question arises, “Do
you worship a false messiah who is called “a hail” to “Zeus”
by the enemy who has Christianised paganism?” Or, do you love, believe,
and worship the Almighty Elohim of all Creation, who has given us His
“Memorial Name - YHVH - Yahvah,” and His anointed one, YahoShua?”
YahoShua said, “Ask in MY NAME.” Thus, names are important!
You better ask yourself “whom do I serve?” Beloved, please, rid yourself of the “traditions of
men,” which YHVH Elohim abhors!
True Messianic believers (those who came from the Children of Israel, and those out of
the Gentiles, are now
Please pray about these things,
ask YHVH Elohim, in the name of YahoShua for discernment and understanding
regarding all these things.
Get back to the Word – Get back to Elohim (our Creator) – Get back to YahoShua! The Messiah!
We are well aware, that this
message will have our email box flooded by those who will attack us regarding
this study, with statements such as … “Well, he knows who we are
speaking about!” … “Jesus, Yesu, Jezus, what’s the difference?” Beloved, there
is a great difference. Ask yourself the simply question, why was he who led the
Children of Israel into the promised land called Joshua in the Word, and why
did he who had the very same name end up “Jesus?”
“And whoever welcomes a little
child like this in MY NAME welcomes me.” Mattiyahu (Matthew) 18:5.
“I tell you the truth,
anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even
greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do
whatever you ask in MY NAME, so that the Son
may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in MY NAME, and I will do it. If you love me, you will
obey my commandments. Yochannan (John) 14:12-15.
“You shall love YaHVaH your
Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your being.”
Deuteronomy 6:5 - Mattiyahu (Matthew) 22:37.
If we love YahoShua, and accept
him as our Messiah in whom we may have life eternal, then we must cast out all
the traditions that men over many centuries have polluted the Church with.
Let us
return (return = shuv = repent) again to the faith, which
was upheld by Kepha (Peter), Sha’ul (Paul), and
all the apostles who followed the example left by YahoShua our Messiah.
“For to
this you were called, because the Messiah also suffered for us, leaving us an
example” 1 Peter 2:21.
In the freedom YHVH
Elohim has given us, we have to choose between good and evil, eternal life in
the
“Am I now trying to win the
approval of men, or of Elohim? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still
trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Messiah.” Galatians
1:10.
